This is a work in progress, but it is an extremely important article.

Genesis 1. 14 And God said: ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years;

Notice it says for days and for years but not for months. Clear proof the months do not go by the moon or the sun

God’s calendar existed before the Nation of Israel Existed. The dates of Pesach were clearly important even before the Exodus, Isaac was born on Pesach etc.

I do not have the time to go through every calendar theory that exists and prove it wrong. Rather i can tell you the existing Jewish calendar and Worldly calendar have nothing to do with God’s Calendar.

It begins with Noah.

Genesis 7.10 And it came to pass after the seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened

Genesis 7. 24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.

Noah entered the ark on the 17 day of the second month – plus 40 days of rain plus 110 days of floods from the springs of the earth. total 150 days. \

Genesis 8.1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged; 2 the fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained. 3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually; and after the end of a hundred and fifty days the waters decreased. 4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat

5 months exactly to the day equals 150 days according to God’s calendar. That means at least these particular months have 30 days each exactly. Therefore, this is proof enough that the MOON has nothing to do with the months spoken of for the festivals. The new moon is a separate issue. Lunar days vary from 29 to 30, so it’s impossible God was using a lunar calendar . You will never see 5 months in a row of lunar months with 30 days.

God clearly tells us Pesach must fall in the month of ABIB spring time. Therefore it’s logical to go by the Solar calendar alone.

However if each month has 30 days we only come to 360 days, and this will make the year fall back 5 days every year. So the only solution is this.

Notice God only commands us to keep festivals in the first 7 months of the year. These months i believe have 30 days each. the 5 other months have 31 making a total of 365 days per year.

The big question is, WHEN DO THESE 7 months BEGIN? in the month of spring. As you probably know many plants spring forth new flowers and leaves at different times of the year, however according to the Torah, the Almond Tree plays a special role when it comes to time.

Bet el the chosen mountain was named LUZ before it was called BET EL. LUZ means almond tree. Shaked is the fruit alone. Why do you suppose it’s name was LUZ? hold that thought while we examine the MENORAH.

In the Tabernacle the Menorah or Lamp was the time keeper .

Exodus 25.31 And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made, even its base, and its shaft; its cups, its knops, and its flowers, shall be of one piece with it. 32 And there shall be six branches going out of the sides thereof: three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candle-stick out of the other side thereof; 33 three cups made like almond-blossoms in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three cups made like almond-blossoms in the other branch, a knop and a flower; so for the six branches going out of the candlestick. 34 And in the candlestick four cups made like almond-blossoms, the knops thereof, and the flowers thereof. 35 And a knop under two branches of one piece with it, and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of the candlestick. 36 Their knops and their branches shall be of one piece with it; the whole of it one beaten work of pure gold. 37 And thou shalt make the lamps thereof, seven; and they shall light the lamps thereof, to give light over against it. 38 And the tongs thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, shall be of pure gold. 39 Of a talent of pure gold shall it be made, with all these vessels. 40 And see that thou make them after their pattern, which is being shown thee in the mount. {

As you can see the Menorah or the TIME keeper was shaped like an ALMOND TREE. But WHY? why not an Apple tree or an orange tree. Why did God choose the ALMOND TREE? Notice the cups are 7 above and 22 below. 6 branches each with 3 cups and the main trunk of the tree with 4. Total 22. Like the 22 letters of the hebrew alphabet. WHY 22? We understand the 7 refers to the week, but WHY 22? what connection does 22 have with the calendar?

As i said earlier 7 months of 30 days is 210 days or 30 weeks. The other 5 months have 31 days each with a total of 155 days or 22 weeks.  I believe this is the secret of the 22 almond branches. Did you know it takes exactly 7 months from the time an ALMOND tree blossoms until it’s fruit is ready? And from the time the fruits are picked count 22 weeks till the next cycle. They used to light one of these 22 lamps every week, from the time of the ready almonds. I know 155 days is not exactly 22 weeks. its 22.14 weeks.  However did you know every seven years the land is to rest. Exactly one week is added to the calendar every seven years to complete a full week. Perfection. 7 is the number of God clearly.

Now lets examine the Day.

day night

As you can see the day is divided into four parts, not two. DAY, NIGHT, BOKER(DAWN) AND EREV(DUSK) . just like the four seasons of the year . SPRING (BOKER), SUMMER (DAY), FALL (EREV), WINTER (NIGHT).  A perfect mix. For those who live in Israel know very well that most of the year it is BOILING HOT or FREEZING COLD, only a small time of the year do we have spring and fall. The ALMOND BLOSSOMS generally spring forth flowers around late January or early February and are ready to be picked around late august. 210 days or 30 weeks.

Lets recreate the YEAR as  the DAY model. Since there are 12 months and 24 hours, we just divide them in two. 12 hours becomes six months , 1 hour becomes half a month of 15 days of a 30 day month. Night becomes 5 months.

As you can see The ALMOND CYCLE TIES PERFECTLY WITH THIS THEORY. And in winter it begins to drop it’s leaves.

I know what you are thinking. If almond trees mark the beginning of the year, then which AREA in ISRAEL do we check? SIMPLE !!! BET EL WAS NAMED LUZ BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE THEY USED TO GO TO CHECK THE ALMONDS. God’s holy mountain will always accurately mark the year. As soon as the flowers begin to blossom, that is the new year. All the festivals are in relation to the blossom of the almond. However the festival of SHAVUOT refers to the BARLEY and WHEAT cycles, which will always be 50 days apart. That is why It is silly to suggest the count will always begin the day after Pesach since that would always mean the 16th of the month you shall count 50 days Etc and since God clearly doesn’t give a date this is proof that this festival relies on the Barley being ready, Again i believe around Meron Area it should be checked.  So the priests would check the almond trees and when they finish picking the almonds at the TURN OF THE YEAR, SUKKOT. Like the TURN of the DAY, EREV  or twilight.  Then they would count 22 weeks, and almost every year it would be accurate on the time of the blossoms. Probably at the sight of the first almond blossom. This picture below is already several weeks after the blossom, since it generally lasts a month.

Aarons rod sprout forth almond blossoms. Probably Moses rod was also an Almond blossom.

It’s the KEY to the hebrew calendar. That is why God decorated the Menorah with Almond blossoms. And the Almonds can only be checked at MERON/BET EL to determine the year. Once ONE cycles begins, there is no need to check again. Since the Menorah counted 30 full weeks for the first seven months, using the 7 candles for each week, THEN they would could the other 22 weeks until the next cycle. The almond will always adjust to the leap year. Some years a day will be added to the twelve month. So 32 days instead of 31. The blossoms of the almond always mark the beginning of the year

Now In a Weekly cycle, Shabbat is exactly 1/7 of the week. Let’s use the Week within the YEAR.

Since we now know that there are two separations of the months, 7 months and 5 months. 365 days

52.142 days equals ONE DAY of the Yearly week. Look what happens with the ALMOND TREE ACCORDING TO THE WEEKLY CYCLE>

It’s not that God commands us to keep  the 52 days of shabbat and not work. Rather anybody who lives in Israel will tell you that during these dates dec 10- Jan 31 you will sleep better than any other time of the year. The plants rest and people connect with God deeper in their sleep. Very special time. The Almond blossoms mark the beginning of the Year and Pesach is around the corner.

So the next question that comes to mind is How was there Barley destroyed by the plague of Hail in EGYPT? SIMPLE – Since i explain in other articles that Egypt is Around the Dead Sea, You will see that the Barley comes early around that region because it is much hotter than the north.

I also see the Two main periods of the year, as the time of JUDGMENT(SUMMER), And the time of MERCY (WINTER) . Summer time generally doesn’t see rain and is very hot and dry and oxygen levels are low etc. Winter is the time of Mercy clearly which makes sense why we eat bitter herbs during Pesach, to symbolize the HOT SUMMER ahead of us, and this is why we CELEBRATE for 7 days during SUKKOT, TO symbolize the Mercy of cool weather and rains and deep dreams. God’s spirit clearly dwells in the land during the Winter time. He appeared as a cloud at SInai, and every year in Israel his mercy rains down on the land as water. This is why the festivals are between the two seasons, HOT AND COLD. The turn of the year is Pesach – the beginning of SUMMER is marked by the end of Pesach and the beginning of Winter is marked by the end of Sukkot. August is for sure the hottest month of the year, September you can already feel the nights cooling. makes perfect sense.

Going back to the moon cycle.

Numbers 28.11 And in your new moons ye shall present a burnt-offering unto the LORD: two young bullocks, and one ram, seven he-lambs of the first year without blemish

The Hebrew doesn’t say moon at all. It says rosh chodeshim which means beginning of the months.

The word for moon is yareach.

Exodus 2.2 And the woman conceived, and bore a son; and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.

Three moons referring to the Egyptian calendar since they were in Egypt.

Deuteronomy 4.19 and lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the host of heaven, thou be drawn away and worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath allotted unto all the peoples under the whole heaven.

What does it mean to worship the moon and the sun and the stars. To abide by their cycle. That is why it’s a problem to go by the moon. Probably Jericho was called such. They worshiped the moon. If I went by the solstice dates for the sun I would be worshiping the sun. And if I go by the constellations then I worship the stars. I go by God’s calendar which is 7 months of 30 days and 5 months of 31 days. Festivals only within the seven months. According to the cycle of the time keeping almond tree.

Deuteronomy 21.13 and she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thy house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month; and after that thou mayest go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.

Interesting that when taking a foreign wife generally who came from a family of idolatry the moon is involved in her cleansing. She has to obey she moon before she joins Israel. Saying good bye to her idols. You will never find a verse with God commanding us to keep the moon cycle.

Another point i want to bring up is about the Plants chosen for the Tabernacle. You will only find two plants from all the plants in the WORLD. THE ALMOND TREE FOR THE MENORAH and the POMEGRANATE for the HIGH PRIEST, with bells. Now for those who don’t know, the Almond tree blossoms in late Jan, early february as i said above, And the POMEGRANATES are ready to EAT LATE JULY, EARLY AUGUST!!!!!!!!!!

That’s Seven months, like the Seven months of of the Calendar. WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF THAT???

Another reason for the Pomegranates for those who don’t know, Make a man very Fruitful.

Genesis 49. 22 Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine by a fountain; its branches run over the wall.

Deuteronomy 33. 17 His firstling bullock, majesty is his; and his horns are the horns of the wild-ox; with them he shall gore the peoples all of them, even the ends of the earth; and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

Clearly Joseph is the most fruitful, therefore Another proof Levites were actually from Joseph.

Also I want to point out another point of evidence for the 7 months.

Deuteronomy 8.8 a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig-trees and pomegranates; a land of olive-trees and honey

7 species mentioned here. Since we know the almond tree marks the new year then honey obviously isn’t a tree so almond replaces honey and we have 7 plants marking the 7 holy months.

Month 1 – almond blossoms – february

Month 2 – barley blossoms – march

Month 3 – olive blossoms- april

Month 4 – wheat-blossoms –  may

Month 5- grapes picked june

Month 6 – figs are ready to be picked- july

Month 7 – pomegranates  are ready to be picked. – august

50 days separates barley and wheatyet there are 60 days in two months. This is a clue that barley is to be picked around the 10th of the 2nd month the day after Sabbath which will always be a Sunday.
